Old Bavarian Medium, 0.5 oz. Old Bavarian Medium was developed in Germany in the 19th century. It is a proprietary formula that is a mixture of Balsam Copaiba Oil and other ingredients. It is a slower drying medium than Balsam Copaiba Oil alone and allows a very smooth application of color. It was the medium of choice for many of the "old masters" of German china painting in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
