What do I do if one of the items I ordered arrives broken or defective?

Please call customer service immediately at (800) 638-3880. One of our representatives will guide you through our return process, but be sure not to discard the broken item and packaging materials, we may need it sent back in order to file the appropriate damage claim with the shipping carrier. Please call to receive a return authorization number before sending items back to us.

How do I return an item?

Maryland China accepts the return of items purchased within 30 days provided the item is in new and re-sellable condition. Returns made after 30 days from the time of purchase are subject to a 15% restocking charge. After 45 days we cannot accept any returns. The customer is responsible for shipping charges back to our facilities and is responsible for any breakage that may occur during the return process.

I am ordering personalized china. How do I enter my text?

You will need to wait until the item is in the shopping cart and you have begun the checkout process to enter your personalized name or text. Enter the text for your personalized item on the Checkout Confirmation page during the checkout process. There is a box below the cart for entering this information. If ordering more than one personalized item, indicate which item should be decorated with which name.


Example: [Cookie Jar: "The Berger's", Boy Plate: "Robert", Birth Plate: "Samantha Ellen, March 18, 2006"]

What does it mean to be a Preferred Customer?

We refer to our china painting and porcelain artist customers as preferred customers. After filling out our "Just for China Painters" Preferred Customer questionnaire, you will be emailed confirmation of your Preferred Customer status which will give you access to special pricing, offers and information tailored specifically for china painters and porcelain artists.

I am a wholesale customer, why can't I see my shipping costs?

Wholesale orders are charged actual shipping or freight costs when the order ships to your business. Predetermined shipping charges are only calculated for direct to consumer orders. Wholesale customers must meet several requirements to qualify as a wholesale account. For more information, please click here.

How do I use the Search feature to get the best results?

You can search our site several ways. Using the search box at the top of every page will allow you to search our large database of products. If you don't find what you are looking for, you can also click on the web search results link to search for your term in the web site content.

Or, you can use the search box at the top of the page to search for SKU numbers (also known as Item Numbers). These SKUs are usually 3-4 numbers or 1-2 letters followed by 3-4 numbers. Separating a set of SKUs with spaces will bring you to a page with results you can instantly add to your cart, to speed your shopping.
